I went to the beach again this afternoon. It's becoming a habit lately! It doesn't matter. Today was a gorgeous day and the beach is such a beautiful place. Luckily I remembered to bring my camera again this time. I really need to build up my Flickr portfolio. One of my big goals this year is to have a decent collection of photographs to be able to print, get framed, and eventually give as gifts and such. Ha! It's just me trying to be an artist! LOL.

A new hobby.

I just bought me a new digital camera this past weekend. Nothing special -- just a 6 megapixel HP dohickey. Take a look at my Flickr photostream to see some things I've been taking at the beach and then some. After my initial photography education back in college (ahem in the late '80's), I haven't really used a camera for the sake of taking "artistic" photos in any sense. Maybe this will turn into a new creative outlet for me.
