OMG. New Alison Moyet!!!! Meanwhile, I'm like 2 months late, but how exciting. One of the first records that I bought with my own money was Yaz(oo)'s UPSTAIRS AT ERIC'S. It was with her partnership with Vince Clark (Erasure, et. al.) that was one of the major influences on me with music. Back then it was 'New Wave' and 'Synth-pop'. Either way -- from there I got hooked! Come to think of it ... that was 25 years ago. Yikes!
