Yesterday's excursion into LA proper was spent with my old roommate from DC Glen and his cousin Malou from San Francisco.  They were just visiting for the weekend and we decided to take in some of the sights.  We basically just ATE.  Probably the biggest highlight was a visit to ROSCOE'S HOUSE OF CHICKEN n WAFFLES.  I'll just let the pictures speak...

This is hilarious and (most likely) fake.  Carl's Jr is known for really obnoxious commercials featuring people just eating their food in the most messiest and unflattering of ways.  Back east, they are known as Hardee's and DO NOT compare at all.

I need some chicken wings.

This is a KILLER recipe - literally.  Snoop Dogg on Martha Stewart.  Go figure.

Yes, it's a Krispy Kreme Bacon Cheese Burger. For those of you not in the know about this brand of donuts, well, let's just say it's a little slice of deep fried yummy goo. It IS, really. Apparently this particular concoction takes it a little bit to far though. Apparently it's being served in Google's corporate cafeteria. Read the original posting here.

Panda Express.

I'm still serving on jury duty! Today for lunch, I decided to drive around and found a Panda Express. For some reason I found the above pic on the front door incredibly amusing. They're promoting a new 'flavor' that is supposedly going against their popular mainstay of orange chicken. The two pandas are speaking to each other in boxing poses.

Left Panda (Eddie): "Beijing Beef is a knockout."

Right Panda (Tom Tom): "Orange Chicken is the champ."
